Conveyances

The Greffe hold records of land conveyances from 1567.

These records are written in French until 1970 and thereafter in English.

A conveyance is the transfer of title to land from one person to another by way of a deed.

The parties to the Conveyance have to appear before the Jurats of the Royal Court and the Conveyance has to be prepared by an Advocate and presented in Contracts Court on a Tuesday or Thursday morning.
